In Novosibirsk, police detained a woman who had more than 12 kg of heroin on her person. About it on February 10 reported the regional Prosecutor's office in Telegram-channel.

"According to the investigation, the 44-year-old defendant, acting as part of a group of persons in prior collusion with an unidentified person, with the purpose of further illegal sale illegally acquired a substance weighing more than 12 kg, containing the narcotic drug heroin," - said in a statement of the agency.

In addition, the accused kept the drug at home for further distribution. The woman failed to realize the sale, as in February 2025 she was detained by law enforcement officers.

It is noted that the Kirovsky district court of Novosibirsk imprisoned the accused for two months.

The Prosecutor's office is monitoring the progress and results of the investigation.

Earlier, on February 7, the Soviet court of Astrakhan sentenced a citizen of Kyrgyzstan to 20 years in a strict regime colony for the sale of drugs that led to the death of 10 people and poisoning of 25. It is noted that the incidents with the death of people in Astrakhan occurred from May 8 to 11 last year.

Before that, on November 28, 2024, traffic police officers stopped the transportation of more than 2 kg of heroin from the Moscow region. Traffic police officers stopped a foreign car, driven by a 36-year-old man, on the highway "Bypass of Togliatti". During the inspection of the car, the law enforcers found suspicious briquettes containing narcotics.
