Bastrykin requested a report on the attack by stray dogs on a woman in Irkutsk region

The Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia is investigating a criminal case on the fact of an attack on a woman in Irkutsk region by stray dogs. This was reported on February 10 by the official Telegram-channel of the IC of the Russian Federation.

"It is reported in media space that a woman was attacked by unneutered dogs in Irkutsk," the press service of the agency informed.

The investigative authorities opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under part 1 of article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Negligence").

The agency informed that the head of the IC Alexander Bastrykin instructed the head of the regional department of the IC of Russia Anatoli Sitnikov to report on the progress of the criminal case and the established circumstances.

Earlier, on January 24, investigators opened a case after the death of a woman from a dog attack near Novosibirsk. A criminal investigation was launched under Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Negligence") in connection with improper performance of duties by officials of the administration of Verkh-Tulinsky village council of Novosibirsk district.
