It is also noted that the price growth affects the long-term strategy of buyers in terms of choosing housing by area. If earlier (in the 2000s or early 2010s) buyers considered their first apartment as a long-term purchase, a kind of "family nest", then nowadays it is increasingly necessary to resort to solving the housing issue in two stages.

"First, a family (or a young couple) buys an affordable apartment of a small area (about 30-50 square meters). The cost of such a real estate object grows over time, the mortgage is paid, and the apartment becomes a support for the purchase of housing of a larger size", - said the managing director of the company "Metrium" Ruslan Syrtsov.

On February 10, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for urban policy and construction Vladimir Efimov said that in the south-east of the capital will build real estate under the KRT program.
