An expert spoke about the main risks to Russians' incomes


In 2025, the main threat to the financial well-being of Russians will be high inflation, which may reach 7%. This was reported by Oleg Kalmanovich, chief analyst of Neomarkets, on February 10.
According to him, consumer price inflation will remain at a significant level, which will make goods and services more expensive.
"The second risk is the continuation of moderate depreciation of the ruble against global reserve currencies," Kalmanovich told Gazeta.Ru.
In addition, the tax burden for part of the population will increase from 2025: personal income tax rates now range from 15% to 22% instead of the previous 13%. Property taxes have also been increased: if the cadastral value of real estate exceeds 300 million rubles, the tax rate has increased from 2% to 2.5%, and for land plots of the same value - from 0.3% to 1.5%.
To protect savings, Kalmanovich recommends that Russians invest in different assets - not to limit themselves to bank deposits, but to consider investments in gold. Also one of the ways to save money can be the purchase of foreign currency, but it is important to choose assets carefully. According to the expert, there are practically no opportunities to minimize risks in the issue of taxes, but it is possible to increase financial stability by increasing income and creating a reserve capital.
According to Rosstat, in 2024, prices in Russia rose by 9.52% in annualized terms. The ruble's exchange rate against the dollar fell by 14% (about 12 rubles), against the euro - by more than 9% (about 10 rubles), and against the yuan - by 23% (more than 2 rubles).
