A 10-year-old girl was attacked by stray dogs in Khabarovsk Krai

A criminal case has been opened in Khabarovsk Krai over the fact of attack of a ten-year-old girl by stray dogs. This was reported on Monday, February 10, in the press service of the regional Department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation.

"On February 10 in social media published information about the attack of dogs without owners on the child <...> The child is hospitalized in a medical institution, she is provided with qualified medical care", - stated in the message inTelegram-channel of the Department.

A criminal case on negligence (article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) was initiated on the fact of the incident. Measures are being taken to catch the dogs.

As reported by the head of the Nikolaevsky municipal district Anatoly Leonov in the social network "VKontakte", the child was attacked when the girl went to a lesson at school unaccompanied by adults.

At the end of December 2024, investigators completed the investigation of the criminal case against the head of the housing and utilities department of Khabarovsk Krai, accused of negligence leading to the death of a person. In January last year in Khabarovsk, at least six stray dogs attacked a man who later died from his injuries. The case against the official under part 2 of article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("negligence, i.e. improper fulfillment by an official of his duties due to bad faith attitude to service, which resulted in the death of a person by negligence") was sent to court.
