"Donbass Dome" intercepted 156 Ukrainian UAVs over Donetsk and Makeyevka in a week


Over the past week, the Donbass Dome airspace protection and electronic warfare system intercepted 156 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over Donetsk and Makeyevka. This was reported by the Russian Federal Security Service's directorate for the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) on February 10.
It is specified that a Ukrainian multirotor-type drone armed with two homemade munitions with a total mass of more than 2 kg was hit near residential neighborhoods in the Kirovsky district of Donetsk.
"Explosive technicians of the FSS of Russia in the DNR with the help of special technical means undetalized the drone and destroyed explosive objects with a superimposed charge on the spot," - informed the press service of the agency.
Earlier, on February 3, it was reported that the Donbass Dome system thwarted 178 attacks by Ukrainian UAVs over Donetsk and Makeyevka. A Ukrainian drone with a payload targeting a nearby power substation was intercepted in the Leninsky district of Donetsk near the Donetsk Sea reservoir.
The AFU has been shelling Russian territory on a daily basis amid a special operation to defend Donbas, the start of which Moscow announced on February 24, 2022.
