Tula artillerymen destroyed AFU infantry in the border area of the Kursk region

Calculations of 122-mm towed D-30 howitzers of the Tula Guards Airborne Troops have struck infantry of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) while carrying out firing missions in the border area of Kursk Region. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry on February 10.

"In the course of aerial reconnaissance of Tula paratroopers detected units of infantry of the AFU, which have equipped strongholds in half-destroyed houses of one of the settlements. After additional reconnaissance and confirmation of the target, the coordinates were immediately transferred to the calculation. The artillerymen deployed the gun in a matter of minutes and calculated the coordinates for firing," the ministry said.

In the course of artillery support of the assault units, the D-30 howitzer's calculation inflicted fire damage on the detected targets. It is specified that the howitzer made three accurate hits on the infantry of the AFU.

After hitting the target, the calculation of the gun promptly camouflaged the howitzer and headed for cover.

"The gun is good, 122 caliber, quite accurate. A large nomenclature of different projectiles. Can perform tasks both on suppression of living forces and destruction of equipment," - said the gunner of the gun with the call sign Razor.

It is reported that the artillerymen work around the clock in the most difficult conditions. The gun crew fires at a distance of over 8 kilometers. The rate of fire of the D-30 is eight rounds per minute.
