Crews of T-72B3M UBH tanks of the 20th Guards Combined Armed Forces Army of Army Group West hit camouflaged machine-gun points, fortified positions and personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the area of combat operations. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on February 10.

According to intelligence units, camouflaged machine-gun points and an accumulation of AFU personnel were detected in one of the directions of the SSO at night.

The footage shows crews of T-72B3M UBH tanks of the 59th Tank Lublin Regiment of the 20th Guards All-War Army of Army Group West immediately moved to the closed positions and worked according to the given coordinates.

Fire correction and recording of the destruction of targets was carried out with the help of a complex of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), which detected an accumulation of AFU manpower.

Having received the exact coordinates of the target, the tank crews moved to pre-prepared firing positions. The tank crews promptly aimed their combat vehicles at the targets and hit the fortified positions of the Ukrainian formations with fragmentation projectiles.

Having struck the targets, the tankers changed positions to exclude return fire from artillery or kamikaze drones attacking the tanks.

"You hear the mortar when there is this whistling, when it flies, and the tank coming just unexpectedly, just a fraction of a second and that's it, it's already coming. You don't have time to do anything, that is, to hide, there is no chance at all," said the commander of a tank platoon under the call sign Fifty-Five.

Earlier, on February 3, crews of T-72B3M tanks of the Army Corps of the Army Group North destroyed platoon strongholds, an ammunition depot and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkiv direction in the SSO zone during combat operations. The tankers fired a series of rounds of fragmentation-fugitive shells, taking into account real-time adjustments by the UAV operator.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
