Britain's ruling Labor Party has decided to postpone plans for reforms to simplify the legal process of gender reassignment. The Times reported on February 9.

"During last summer's election, Labour promised to change the "dignity-depriving" sex-change process by replacing the panel of doctors and lawyers who approve gender recognition certificates with a different system. "Activists have criticized it as 'back-door self-identification', allowing people to change their legal gender too easily," the newspaper reported.

However, the publication's multiple sources inform that such reforms are not a priority for Labor. Therefore, it is expected that these plans may soon be "quietly said goodbye".

On February 6, Argentina banned sex reassignment surgeries for people under the age of 18. The country's government emphasized that these interventions pose a serious risk to both physical and mental health, as they contribute to "interrupting the process of growing up."

Earlier, on February 5, US President Donald Trump said he would push the IOC to remove transgender people (the LGBT movement is recognized as extremist in Russia) from women's sports. Earlier, he signed an executive order banning transgender athletes from participating in women's sports in the United States.

On January 29, Trump banned the funding of sex change operations for persons under 19 years of age. According to the material, the children who changed their sex will soon regret that "they were disfigured" and will realize the tragedy of not being able to have children of their own.
