Corporal Pavel Aldoshin was conducting aerial reconnaissance and detected the movement of a group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the direction of Russian troops' positions. On Monday, February 10, the Russian Defense Ministry described the exploits of Russian servicemen in the zone of the special military operation (SMO).

Having detected the movement of an enemy group using a reconnaissance drone, Aldoshin promptly relayed the information to the command and then reported the target coordinates to Russian mortars. The targeted fire on the enemy group caused serious damage to the AFU. Part of the personnel was destroyed, and the enemy moved to retreat, leaving their wounded and killed on the spot.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the courage and bravery of Sergei Vola, deputy company commander of the BARS-32 detachment, who covered his comrade from the splinters of an enemy explosive shell.

The BARS-32 squad was holding territory and came under attack from fpv drones and rocket-propelled grenades. Vol noticed his fellow soldier was in an unprotected position, rushed to him and pushed him into cover, covering him with his body. At that moment an enemy shell exploded nearby. The fragments wounded both servicemen, but Vol managed to render first aid to both himself and his comrade.

Meanwhile, Vol noticed that a group of enemy attack aircraft in a vehicle was approaching the positions of the Russian Armed Forces. Having determined the coordinates and transmitted them to his command, he continued to keep watch. As a result, the enemy pickup truck was shot down by a Russian fpv drone. Vol then organized the evacuation of his wounded comrade to a safe place for further treatment.

Earlier, on February 9, the ministry said that a nurse at the medical station of a motorized rifle unit, Sergeant Lyudmila Bolilaya , provided first aid to a wounded Russian serviceman under AFU shelling and covered the soldier with herself to shield him from shell fragments.

Prior to that, on February 8, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Sergeant Ivan Kravtsov was carrying out the task of delivering ammunition to Russian servicemen to the line of contact and came under fire from the AFU.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
