Media said the Mirage-2000 is impossible to change the course of the conflict in Ukraine

Deliveries of French Mirage-2000 fighter jets to Ukraine will not be able to change the course of the conflict. This was stated by the US magazine The National Interest on February 7.

"Aircraft Mirage 2000 together with delivered to Kiev fighter jets F-16, perhaps, will strengthen the air units of Ukraine, but the course of the stalemated current conflict will not affect", - stated in the material.

Earlier in the day, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the transfer of Mirage-2000 to Ukraine drives the situation into an even greater deadlock for the West and the Kiev regime.

On February 6, the head of the French Defense Ministry, Sebastien Lecornu, said that the first French Mirage-2000 fighter jets had arrived in Ukraine, the delivery of which President Emmanuel Macron had announced in June 2024.

For his part, Russian Ambassador to France Alexei Meshkov called the delivery of Mirage-2000 fighter jets to Ukraine a free disposal. In his opinion, instead of "sawing off" the equipment at home, it is cheaper to write it off to Kiev under the guise of "another million euros of aid."

Western countries have stepped up military and financial support for Ukraine against the background of Russia's special operation to protect Donbass, which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, after the situation in the region worsened due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
