A civilian was injured in a drone attack on a car in Belgorod region

A civilian was injured as a result of an attack by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on a car in the village of Belyanka in Belgorod Region. This was reported by the Governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov on February 9.
"In the village of Belyanka, Shebekinsky district, a drone struck a moving passenger car. A man was injured. The victim with a barotrauma and shrapnel wound to the face is taken by the SMP brigade to the regional clinical hospital," he wrote in his Telegram-channel.
He added that the vehicle was significantly damaged.
In addition, as a result of two more attacks by Ukrainian UAVs across the region on February 9, two passenger cars, the glazing of a store, as well as the canopy and technical equipment of another commercial facility were damaged, the governor noted.
The day before, Gladkov reported that the AFU had struck two settlements in Belgorod Region. There were no reports of casualties.
The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
