Indian Defense Ministry told about the assessment of Russian Su-57 capabilities

India is studying the capabilities of the Russian Su-57 fifth-generation multirole fighter for its possible purchase. Sanjeev Kumar, the republic's deputy defense minister, told TASS on February 9.
"We are evaluating (the capabilities of the Su-57 fighter jet. - Ed.)," Kumar noted.
According to him, the issue of purchasing the fighter will be decided by representatives of the Indian Armed Forces.
In addition, Kumar added that India is expecting a demonstration of the Su-57 at the Aero India 2025 air show.
Earlier, on January 4, the U.S. Military Watch Magazine reported that no U.S. fifth-generation fighter can still match the Russian Su-57 in terms of battle-tested performance.
Last December, Brandon Weichert, a columnist for The National Interest (TNI) magazine, said that Russia's Su-57 fifth-generation fighter had proven its effectiveness in a special military operation. The columnist added that Russia "has a real revolutionary system in the form of the Su-57."
