Emergencies Ministry eliminates oil pollution on 500 square meters in Samara region


In Samara region they are liquidating the consequences of oil product spill after an oil pipeline rupture. This was reported on February 8 in the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the region.
It noted that the area of pollution is about 500 square meters.
"Contaminated soil will be taken to the landfill for storage and reclamation of contaminated soils. As a result of the incident there are no dead and injured, there was no fire," - said in the message on the website of the Department.
It is specified that the spillage of oil-containing liquid from the intra-field oil pipeline of Belozersko-Chubovskoye oilfield became known on February 8. Then a temporary sealing device was installed, and the oil pipeline was launched.
"On 09.02.2025 planned work on removal and reclamation of contaminated soil," - emphasized in the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Samara region, adding that 26 people and 12 units of equipment are involved in the elimination of pollution.
Earlier, on January 31, it was reported that in Tatarstan there was a spill of oil products on an area of 2 thousand square meters, the emergency was recorded in Leninogorsk district of the republic.
