Sobyanin told about the Moscow program of separate waste accumulation

Last year, the capital's separate waste collection program managed to collect 1.65 million tons of recyclable materials, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in his Telegram channel, recalling that the capital's separate waste accumulation program turned 5 years old.
"In the rating of the Russian Environmental Operator, the capital for the third time took the first place together with the Moscow region. The number of Muscovites separating garbage is constantly growing. Sorting into two bins for many has become a habit", - wrote Sergey Sobyanin.
To attract Muscovites to participate in the program of separate waste accumulation also help special information programs, which are held at eco-lessons in educational institutions, in 11 eco-centers of Moscow, as well as in the Museum of Municipal Economy of Moscow at VDNKh. Last year the program launched a new project "Ecotochki Moscow", which currently includes more than 200 points of acceptance of clothes, textiles and accessories for recycling. The Moscow authorities plan to expand the list of eco-points in the near future, as well as the list of things that can be given a second life there.
