In Moscow, clinics suspended due to hospitalization of women after IVF treatment

The work of a clinic in Moscow, where patients suffered sepsis after IVF procedures, has been suspended. This was reported by Roszdravnadzor in its Telegram channel on February 9.

It is specified that an epidemiological investigation has been launched with the examination of the focus of problems.

"The work of the clinic is suspended until the results of laboratory tests and the completion of the epidemiological investigation", - stated in the statement.

Earlier in the day it became known that after IVF procedure five women were urgently hospitalized in an infectious disease hospital with fever of unclear genesis, angiogenic sepsis.

The Department of Health of Moscow confirmed the admission to hospitals of women who were hospitalized after IVF procedure in one of the private clinics. It was noted that two patients are in serious condition. All victims are provided with a full range of medical care. On the same day, Roszdravnadzor reported that it will check the quality of medical care to women who were hospitalized.

The husband of one of the victims told Izvestia that they went to the clinic for the second time, the first time everything went well. He added that he knows a similar case when a girl had the same symptoms as his wife. The man emphasized that he plans to look into the situation.
