Horlivka mayor warned residents about Ukrainian "Kolokolchik" submunitions

In Horlivka of the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR), sub-munitions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces of the type "Kolokolchik" were found in the residential area "Komsomolets" of the Nikitovskyy district. This was reported by the mayor of the city Ivan Prikhodko on February 9.

"As a result of Ukrainian armed aggression in the residential area "Komsomolets" (Nikitovsky district of Gorlovka) revealed submunitions of the AFU type "Kolokolchik"," he wrote in Telegram-channel.

Prikhodko urged residents not to touch or lift these items, as well as to inform local authorities about the discovery.

Earlier, on February 7, in Kursk region in one of the villages of Rylsky district, a local resident stepped on an explosive device. It was noted that the resident with a serious foot injury was taken to a medical facility.

Ukrainian troops have been shelling the territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics, as well as Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions, on a daily basis amid a special operation to protect Donbas, the start of which was announced by Russia on February 24, 2022.
