In the U.S., a seven-year-old race car driver died after crashing in competition


In the United States, a seven-year-old female racer died as a result of a serious injury sustained at a competition. This was reported by the TV channel KPTV on February 9.
It noted that Elienis Diaz Rodriguez during the race lost control of her car and crashed into a concrete wall. The girl died from her injuries on February 9, the publication wrote.
"We are deeply heartbroken over the tragic incident that occurred on Sunday. <...> Motorsport is built on passion, but moments like this remind us of the risks that come with doing what we love," KPTV reports a message from the management of the track where the accident occurred.
Earlier, April 2024 reported that seven people were killed and 21 others injured in Sri Lanka when a race car collided with a crowd of spectators during a race. It was specified that the car ran over the spectators on an unprotected section of the track.
