Phone scammers have started calling Russians posing as court officials. This is reported on February 9, "RIA Novosti" with reference to the reports of Russian courts.

The material reminded that in the courts will never be interested in the data of bank cards and accounts, codes from sms and other information of a financial nature.

At the same time it is noted that the court staff can call the participants in the process to notify them of the date, time and place of the court session. They can also contact to inform about the readiness to issue copies of court decisions, executive documents or clarification of other organizational nuances.

On the eve, February 8, product director of SberMobile Artemy Ponomarev said that often phone scammers can be recognized by special phrases and scenarios that they resort to during a conversation with the victim. Thus, as one of the most common tricks, the expert calls messages about winning the lottery.

Prior to that, on February 6, the press service of the Department for Combating Cybercrime (DCC) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia reported that scammers began to use a scheme to steal Telegram accounts through a Wi-Fi connection.

Earlier, on January 30, Alexei Ermakov, an IT expert at the Cyber Sports Department of the Game Industry and Cyber Sports Faculty of Synergy University, said that the Mamont virus is spreading in Telegram, which reads SMS messages, push notifications, and photos from the gallery to gain access to payment systems.
