Defense Ministry shows footage of FPV drone strikes on AFU armored vehicles

Russian soldiers have hit armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) with FPV drones of the Rubicon Center in the Kursk direction of the Special Military Operation (SMO) zone, the Russian Defence Ministry has said on 9 February. This was announced by the Russian Defense Ministry on February 9.
"Reconnaissance units of the Test Center for Advanced Unmanned Technologies of the Russian Defense Ministry's Rubicon Test Center detected AFU armored combat vehicles at night. The data of the detected targets were promptly transmitted to the strike vehicles," the Defense Ministry's press service said.
Having received data on the enemy's movement, the calculations of FPV-drones of the Rubicon Center hit and destroyed the AFU armored vehicles.
It is reported that the means of objective control recorded a direct hit on the target.
Earlier, on February 3, calculations of UAV aircraft type "Molniya-2" of the Tula Guards Airborne Compound hit and destroyed an infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) of the AFU in the border area of Kursk region. The Molniya-2 drone is capable of higher speed than a conventional FPV drone, while carrying more cargo, the Defense Ministry said.
The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of the Kursk region on August 6, 2024. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of federal character. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
