Sakhalin servicemen were awarded orders for courage and bravery in the NWO zone

In the zone of the special military operation (SMO), a ceremony was held to award Sakhalin military personnel for their successes in the performance of combat missions. This was reported in the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry on February 9.

"For courage, bravery and heroism shown during the performance of combat tasks, the servicemen were awarded state awards - the Order of Courage, medals "For bravery", Zhukov. The commander of the unit thanked the motorized riflemen for their work and expressed his gratitude," the Defense Ministry said.

The ceremony was attended by the head of the Donetsk People's Republic Denis Pushilin, as well as the governor of the Sakhalin region Valery Limarenko, who came to the special operation zone. They handed over to the military reconnaissance drones, electronic warfare equipment, as well as anti-drone rifles.

The event ended with a small festive concert, where artists from the Sakhalin Regional Philharmonic performed patriotic songs for the servicemen.

Earlier, on February 6, a participant of the program "Time of Heroes" Nursultan Mussagaleev became acting deputy minister of regional and information policy of the Orenburg region. Regional Governor Denis Pasler said that Mussagaleev would become a significant member of the regional government team due to his experience in military service.

Also on January 31, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Army General Valery Gerasimov, visited the control point of the Vostok grouping of troops in the special operation zone, where he noted the group's success in liberating the settlements of Velikaya Novoselka and Vremevka.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision to carry it out was taken against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
