Peaceful residents of Avdeevka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) will soon start moving into restored housing. This was reported by Izvestiya correspondent Yevgeniy Bykovsky on February 9.

He informed that February 17 will be exactly one year since the liberation of the city from the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The first residential house has already been handed over.

"The house behind my back was restored by the Chelyabinsk region. The deadline is in a week. On February 15, people will move in here. The apartments are fully finished, completely new furniture, new wiring," said Bykovsky.

It is specified that the houses are already fully provided with autonomous heating and hot water. And electricity is temporarily connected from mobile generators.

"Already several houses are almost completely ready for occupancy by the residents of Avdeevka, some of whom live in basements and, of course, waiting for new restored housing. But in addition to the restored housing, there is still a large amount of work," - concluded the correspondent.

Earlier, on August 14, 2024, reconstruction work began in Avdeevka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR), which was liberated in February. According to the head of the DNR, Denis Pushilin, six apartment buildings are currently being rebuilt, while brigades from Yasinovataya are engaged in the reconstruction of the private sector.
