UK Deputy Health Minister Andrew Gwyn was fired for offensive comments in the messenger WhatsApp (owned by Meta Corporation, recognized as extremist and banned in Russia). This was reported by The Daily Mail on Saturday, February 8.

About the dismissal of the politician from a high position said the representative of the head of the British government Keir Starmer.

"The Prime Minister is determined to uphold high standards of conduct in public office and lead a government that serves working people. He will not hesitate when it is necessary to take action against any politician in a ministerial position who does not meet those standards, which he did in this case," Starmer emphasized.

Gwin is noted to have repeatedly allowed anti-Semitic and sexist slurs, other inappropriate and disrespectful messages against both constituents and other members of the ruling Labor Party in a closed WhatsApp group.

Earlier, on February 10, 2024, it was reported that the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) fired a female employee who accused a colleague of sexual harassment. A state court convicted him of assault and battery last year. The woman also accused the agency of trying to dissuade her from filing a lawsuit.
