Russian tennis player Anastasia Potapova reached the final of the tournament in Romania. In the semifinals, which took place on February 8, she defeated her opponent from Belarus Alexandra Sosnovich.
The meeting ended with the score 6:3, 7:5 in favor of the Russian. In the deciding match she will play the winner of the meeting between Lucia Bronzetti of Italy and Katerina Siniakova of the Czech Republic.
Potapova is ranked 32nd in the world rankings and has won two WTA titles in her career.
Earlier, on January 26, Italian tennis player Yannick Cinner, the world number one, defeated German Alexander Zverev in the final of the Australian Open.
