In Kaliningrad, the mother of a 7-year-old boy killed by his stepfather has been arrested

In Chernyakhovsk, Kaliningrad region, the court remanded in custody the mother of a seven-year-old boy, who was killed by his stepfather. This was reported in the press service of the Prosecutor's office for the region.

"In the court session the representative of the Prosecutor's office of the Kaliningrad region supported the petition of the investigator to elect a 30-year-old resident of Chernyakhovsk measure of restraint in the form of detention," - stated in the Telegram-channel.

The woman is charged under paragraphs "a", "d", "e" of Article 117 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("torture"), Article 125 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Abandonment in danger"), Article 156 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Failure to fulfill the duties of upbringing a minor").

It is noted that the accused is in custody until April 3, 2025.

The detention of the mother of the dead boy became known on February 7. According to the investigation, the suspect 30-year-old woman and her 42-year-old husband beat, humiliated and intimidated two minor children, as well as deprived them of water. It was noted that after another beating by the stepfather, the woman made no attempt to provide medical assistance to the child and left the boy in a life-threatening condition, which eventually led to his death.

On February 4, the boy's stepfather was arrested on suspicion of murder, and the next day he was taken into custody for two months. He said that he had beaten the child for refusing to perform physical exercises. In addition, the man showed how he hid the child's body.

About the disappearance of a seven-year-old child in Chernyakhovsk, Kaliningrad region, the IC reported on February 3. A criminal case was opened and a search was organized, and later the boy's body was found.
