A man suspected of beating his daughter was detained in Kaliningrad region

In Kaliningrad region, police officers detained a man suspected of torturing his 13-year-old daughter. This was reported by the official representative of the Russian Interior Ministry Irina Volk in Telegram-channel on February 8.

It is specified that the police were approached by a local woman who claimed that her ex-husband used physical violence to their underage daughter.

"Preliminary established that the previously convicted 35-year-old man repeatedly beat the girl, committed other violent acts, caused her mental suffering. It also turned out that the intruder inflicted beatings on his ex-wife", - stated in the statement.

The man was detained and placed in a temporary detention center. A criminal case was opened against him under paragraph "g" of part 2 of article 117 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Torture"). The issue of bringing a criminal case under article 116.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Beating by a person subjected to administrative punishment or having a criminal record") for beating his former wife is also being considered.

Earlier, on January 12, in the town of Timashevsk, Krasnodar region, a mother with many children was accused of beating her three-year-old son. The child's aunt Yulia Yudnikova told "Izvestia" that, having come to visit a family with three children, she noticed multiple marks of beatings on the body of one of the boys. The woman decided to pick up the child and take him to the hospital. The police arrived there as well.
