A man who hid the body of his mistress in the woods was arrested in St. Petersburg

Primorsky district court of St. Petersburg arrested a man who killed his mistress and hid her body in the forest. This was reported by Izvestiya correspondent from the courtroom on February 8.

The man will stay in custody until April 5.

According to the source of "Izvestia", in May 2023 in his apartment, he gave his lover multiple blows to the head, because of which she died. After that, he and his mother took the body of the 49-year-old dead woman to the forest.

The suspect was detained on February 6, 2025, a case was opened against him under the article "Murder".

Earlier, on January 23, in St. Petersburg, a man confessed to the murder of his lover almost a month after the crime. According to the source of "Izvestia", the St. Petersburg resident committed the crime on New Year's Eve, but confessed to it only on January 23. It was specified that the man killed the woman by hitting her on the head with a wooden hammer and then strangled her with a tie.
