Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, whose term of office expired on May 20, 2024, is lying about the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) of 45,000 people. This was stated on February 6 by the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Alexander Dubinsky, who is in the Ukrainian detention center on suspicion of treason.

"Zelensky is not friendly neither with his head, nor with his conscience, nor with a calculator", - he wrote in Telegram-channel.

In addition, the MP noted that the special envoy of the US President Keith Kellogg reported losses of 90 thousand, and the American leader Donald Trump cited data about 600-700 thousand people. Thus, Zelensky miscalculated twice or 15 times, or is deliberately lying, Dubinsky explained.

According to the politician, if you believe the statistics of the head of the Kiev regime, there will be no more than two graves of Ukrainian servicemen in each cemetery in Ukraine.

On February 4, the head of the Kiev regime said in an interview with journalist Piers Morgan that the total losses of the AFU during the conflict amount to about 45,000 people.

On February 7, the Russian Defense Ministry said that the AFU had lost more than 26,000 servicemen during the fighting for Dzerzhinsk (Ukrainian name - Toretsk) in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR).

Earlier, on February 6, Verkhovna Rada MP Anna Skorokhod said that Zelensky was voicing unreliable figures of the AFU losses. In her opinion, the figures proposed by the head of the Kiev regime are significantly understated.

On 16 January, Ukrainian prisoner of war Ruslan Mirnyy said that it was more important for the Ukrainian command to preserve military equipment than human lives. He noted that he had been mobilized while going to a store.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the worsening situation in the region.
