In the Tomsk region, a freight train hit a 17-year-old teenager, who was probably crossing the tracks wearing headphones. This was reported on February 7 in the West Siberian transport prosecutor's office.

"In the Tomsk region, the transport prosecutor's office is checking the circumstances of the fatal injury of a minor on the railroad tracks near the Predtechensk station. <....> One of the possible causes of the incident is the pedestrian's use of headphones and a cell phone, being in the range of the rolling stock," the department said in a Telegram message.

Transport Prosecutor's Office organized a check on the incident, during which an assessment will be given to compliance with safety standards in the operation of railway transport facilities, the activities of bodies and institutions of the system of prevention of child neglect and juvenile delinquency.

February 1, in the Novosibirsk region, a train killed a man. It was specified that the incident occurred at the crossing of stations Krahal - Vostochnaya near the stop point "38th kilometer".
