In Kursk region, a local resident stepped on an explosive device in one of the villages of Rylsky district. This was reported on February 7 by Alexander Khinshtein, the region's acting head.

"Today a local resident in one of the villages of the Rylsky district stepped on an explosive device," - wrote Hinshtein in Telegram-channel.

It is noted that the resident with a serious foot injury was taken to a medical facility to decide on the transfer to the Kursk regional hospital.

In addition, the interim head of the region reminded that in conditions with proximity to the front line should be careful and prudent to prevent such situations.

Earlier, on February 5, a civilian was injured in Belgorod as a result of falling debris from a drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). It was noted that the injured man was taken to the city hospital with a closed craniocerebral injury and head contusion.

The AFU attacked the positions of the Russian Federation in the border areas of the Kursk region on August 6, 2024. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
