An elderly man died in a fire in a private house in Elets

In the town of Yelets, Lipetsk region, an elderly man died in a fire in a private wooden house. An investigation has been organized, reports the regional Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

The fire occurred in the afternoon on Friday, February 7, on Truda Street. As a result, a 77-year-old man died. As told GOROD48 in the press service of the regional Department of Internal Affairs, it is the owner of the burned house.

The cause of death, tentatively, was poisoning by products of combustion. As probable causes of the fire are considered unextinguished cigarette and emergency operation of heating equipment, noted in the IC. An inspection is organized, the results of which will decide on the initiation of criminal proceedings.

The area of the fire amounted to 70 square meters. In extinguishing were involved 22 people and five units of equipment.

The same morning a fire occurred in a residential house in Perm. As a result, a 25-year-old girl with a five-year-old son and her 50-year-old mother-in-law with an eight-year-old daughter died.
