Inspectors of the Moscow Administrative Road Inspectorate (MADI) will intensify patrolling on five streets in the capital from February 10. This was announced by the Moscow Department of Transport in its Telegram-channel on February 7.

Control over compliance with the rules of stopping and parking will be strengthened on the 3rd Magistralnaya Street, Pilot Oskanov Street, Malaya Bronnaya Street, Perervensky Boulevard and Sheremetevskaya Street.

The deptrans emphasized that increased patrolling in problem areas helps to reduce the number of violations. Drivers were reminded of the need to comply with the rules of parking and stopping only in authorized places, as well as urged not to interfere with other road users and not to endanger pedestrians.

At the end of last year the capital deptrans announced that since the beginning of 2024 MADI inspectors have intensified patrolling on 42 streets with heavy traffic. According to Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport Maxim Liksutov, thanks to such measures, the number of violations of parking rules there has decreased by an average of 70%.

February 3, it was reported that men 35-44 years old remain the most dangerous motorists, they were responsible for 30% of traffic accidents last year. In total, men were at fault in 83% of road accidents (80% in 2023). In contrast, the number of women who were responsible for road accidents decreased by 20%.
