State Duma deputy Aleksey Chepa has said that Ukraine will not be able to provoke a war between Russia and the USA.

In a conversation with Lenta.Ru on Friday, February 7, the parliamentarian noted that such a desire of Kiev is understandable, as in this case it will be easier for it to solve its own problems.

"I am sure that there will be no such direct conflict, war between Russia and the United States. Because the countries that have nuclear weapons are well aware of the consequences of such a step, they understand it better than others," Chepa emphasized.

He noted that Ukraine has always wanted to draw as many states as possible into the conflict, but Western countries refuse to participate in the confrontation for a reason - they all have an understanding of the consequences.

Earlier on February 7, an adviser to the head of the office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Mykhaylo Podolyak, said that Ukraine would like to provoke a war between Russia and the United States. He explained that Ukraine would be "much better off" in this situation, RT specifies. He also assured that the country realizes that "it is too hard," kp.ru writes.

On February 5, political scientist Yuri Svetov noted that United States President Donald Trump's plans to finance Ukraine in exchange for rare earth resources are a routine bargaining. He constantly emphasizes that the United States, having taken on the support of Ukraine, paid a huge amount of money for it, 360.ru notes. Now they want some kind of compensation.

In January, Zelensky (term expired in May 2024) suggested that the US expand the country's territory at the expense of Russian lands amid Trump's statements about annexing Canada and Greenland, notes IA Regnum.

On December 14, 2024, Ukraine postponed the signing of an agreement with the United States on cooperation in the field of mining and processing of minerals until Trump's appointment as president.

On September 28, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that the head of the Kiev regime wants to directly involve NATO in hostilities against Russia.
