On Thursday, February 6, the Russian Army's "North" group of troops destroyed armored vehicles of Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) assault groups in the border area of Kursk Region using FPV drones. Images of the combat operation were published by the Russian Defense Ministry on February 7.
It is specified that the military equipment was identified with the help of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
"After analyzing the intelligence received, a decision was made to fire on the enemy," the ministry said in a statement.
As a result of the Russian army's actions, the armored vehicles were eliminated.
On the same day, the Russian Defense Ministry published footage of the destruction of AFU armored vehicles by calculations of the Rubicon Center in the Kursk region.
The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of the Kursk region on August 6, 2024. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
