Pulkovo adjusted flight schedule due to high atmospheric pressure
St. Petersburg airport Pulkovo reported about the forced adjustment of flight schedules of some airlines due to abnormally high pressure in the atmosphere, reports the press service of the air harbor on February 7.
It is noted that such weather conditions were caused by an anticyclone in the Leningrad region.
"Normalization of weather conditions is predicted for the evening of February 8 (Saturday. - Ed.). During this period, part of the flights will be combined and performed on airplanes of greater capacity," - stated in the Telegram-channel.
Before that, on January 29, Rosaviatsia representative Artem Korenyako reported on the introduction of temporary restrictions on the reception and release of aircraft at Pulkovo airport to ensure flight safety. From 02:56 Moscow time, the St. Petersburg air harbor temporarily did not receive and did not send flights. After that, at 04:32 Moscow time, the restrictions on the reception and release of aircraft were lifted.
