In Astrakhan, a foreigner was sentenced to 20 years for the death of 10 people from drugs

The Sovetsky court of Astrakhan sentenced a citizen of Kyrgyzstan to 20 years in a strict regime colony for the sale of drugs that led to the death of 10 people and poisoning of 25. This was reported on February 7 in the Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation for the region.

The man was found guilty of committing 32 crimes under part 4 of article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Illegal sale of narcotic drugs by an organized group"), part 3 of article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence to two or more persons").

"The court sentenced the perpetrator to imprisonment for 20 years in a penal colony of strict regime", - stated in the Telegram-channel of the Department.

It is noted that the incidents with the death of people in Astrakhan occurred from May 8 to 11 last year. Then in different places in the city were found the bodies of 10 men and women aged 18 to 40 years. All of them had died of drug poisoning. Another 25 people were taken to hospitals with intoxication.

The press service of the regional prosecutor's office specified that the criminal case of other members of the organized criminal group (OCG) was allocated to a separate proceeding. The investigation established that the accused bought drugs for illegal sale through the Internet. And making bookmarks in the city, he inadvertently replaced the drug substance with a potent drug, dangerous to life when used.
