Skywell car brand announced no plans to develop its business in Russia

Skywell has announced that it has no plans to develop its business of selling new cars and to develop its dealer network in Russia. This is reported on February 7 by "Rossiyskaya Gazeta" with reference to the official representative of the car brand.

"Now Skywell has no plans to develop the business of selling new cars in Russia. However, the owners of already sold cars can be calm - all service and warranty obligations remain in force," the words of the brand's representative are quoted.

According to him, warranty service will continue to be provided through certified partners of the company, and existing dealerships will continue to work with the brand until the end of the contracts. There is a sufficient stock of spare parts for Skywell cars in Russia, he assured.

In December last year it was reported that dealerships of the Chinese brand Skywell began to close in Russia.

Auto brand Skywell debuted in Russia in late 2022 with an electric crossover ET5. In the middle of 2023, sales of hybrid parketnik HT-i started. According to Izvestia, 202 Skywell vehicles were sold in Russia in the first 11 months of 2024. Sales fell by 61.9% year-on-year.
