Traffic on winter roads will be limited in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug due to the forthcoming thaw

Traffic will be restricted on several winter roads in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. The reason is the forecasted increase in temperature and high intensity of heavy truck traffic.

Restrictions will be imposed on ice roads in the Kondinsky and Berezovsky districts. Ura.ru news agency with reference to the Telegram-channel of Severavtodor specifies that the measures will take effect from 8:00 on Saturday, February 8.

In the Kondinsky district, restrictions of up to 10 tons will be introduced on the winter roads Mezhdurechensky - Kondinskoye, Mezhdurechensky - Karym - Shugur, Mortka - Nizhnyaya Tavda, Kondinskoye - Bolchary and Kondinskoye - Nikulinka village.

In Berezovsky district, restrictions on the load capacity up to 5 tons are introduced on the winter road Agirish - Khulimsunt.

Earlier, on February 6, it was reported that in Krasnoyarsk Krai only nine out of 17 ice crossings are operating. The rest can not open because of abnormally warm weather. There is not enough safe ice thickness.
