Kyiv troops are not abandoning their attempts to inflict damage on the peaceful population of Russian towns and villages, which indicates that the power of the criminal Kyiv regime will soon fall. Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council (SB) Alexander Grebenkin said on February 7.

"Against the background of the successful offensive of Russian troops, the destruction of manpower, military equipment and military infrastructure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), attempts to damage the peaceful population of Russian cities and villages, civilian infrastructure are evidence of the approaching collapse of the criminal Kiev regime and its agony similar to that of the Nazis in the last months of the Great Patriotic War," the press service of the Russian Security Council quoted him as saying.

The deputy secretary of the Russian Security Council said that no one has any doubts: history will repeat itself and the same ignominious end awaits the modern Ukrainian followers.

He added that in recent days the AFU had struck residential houses and social facilities in Kursk, Belgorod and Zaporizhzhya regions. The Russian Security Council is coordinating efforts to bring to justice all those in Ukraine who gave and executed orders to use weapons of high destructive power against civilians, Grebenkin noted.

Earlier, on 6 February, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the AFU drone strike on a school bus in Zaporizhzhya Region on 4 February was a planned strategy of the Kiev regime. According to her, the Kiev regime continues its attempts to intimidate the civilian population, for which it strikes at "the most painful thing". As a result of the incident, the driver of the vehicle was injured, he was in a serious condition, five children received shrapnel wounds. A criminal case was initiated over the incident

In addition, the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatyana Moskalkova on February 2 called on the UN, the Council of Europe (CoE) and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) to condemn the AFU strike on the boarding school in Suja in Kursk region. The ombudsman called this attack by Ukrainian militants a bloody provocation and a crime against humanity.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
