Ka-52 crew strikes at AFU equipment in the border area of Kursk Region
An army aviation crew on a Ka-52 helicopter as part of a mixed tactical group in the course of a combat mission to support units of the North group struck air missiles at the Ukrainian Armed Forces' (AFU) manpower and armored vehicles in the border area of Kursk Region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on February 7.
After the attack, the crew performed an anti-missile maneuver at low altitude and fired heat guns to prevent the Ukrainian army's man-portable surface-to-air missile system (MANPADS) missiles from hitting the aircraft.
The advanced aircraft gunner confirmed the destruction of all AFU targets.
The day before, an Army aviation crew on an Mi-28 helicopter as part of a mixed tactical group disrupted the rotation of AFU units in the border area of Kursk Region. The pilots of the army aviation carried out missile launches at specified coordinates, hitting armored vehicles and living forces of the Ukrainian formations.
