Road repair contractor in Nizhny Tagil fined 16.7 million rubles

The Sverdlovsk Region has canceled the road repair contract with Uralstroymontazh LLC, which missed the deadline for road repairs in Nizhny Tagil. The company's director has been fined, the press service of the regional prosecutor's office told IA "Ura.ru".

"The prosecutor's office of the Leninsky district against the director of OOO "Uralstroimontazh" initiated a case of administrative offense. As a result of its consideration the mentioned official was fined for the amount of over 16.7 million rubles", - explained in the supervisory agency.

According to the news agency, the contract for the reconstruction of roads on October Revolution and Tsiolkovskogo Streets in Nizhny Tagil was signed in December 2020. The firm was to receive over 1.6 billion rubles for its work, but the contractor blew the deadline and failed to deliver the facilities on time.

Currently, the contract with Uralstroimontazh has been terminated. The work will be completed by the local MUP Tagildorstroy.
