The wife of the man killed in the plane crash near Moscow called him an experienced pilot

The wife of the pilot who died when a light-engine plane crashed in Moscow Region told Izvestia on February 6 that her husband was an experienced specialist.

"My husband was an experienced pilot <...>. The cause [of the crash] is not clear," she said.

The interviewee added that the flight had been planned.

The crash occurred earlier in the day in the Ramensky municipal district of Moscow Region near the Myachkovo airport. As Izvestia's source reported, two people died as a result.

Later, a criminal case was opened on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the rules of safety of movement and operation of air transport, causing the death of two people by negligence")".
