Patrushev visited the Krasnoye Sormovo shipyard in Nizhny Novgorod
Russian Presidential Aide and Chairman of the Maritime Board Nikolai Patrushev on Thursday, February 6, visited the Krasnoye Sormovo shipyard and the Central Design Bureau for hydrofoil vessels named after R.E. Alekseev in Nizhny Novgorod.
"At the meeting with the management of the enterprise discussed issues of production load, financial and economic performance of the plant, as well as key issues of modernization of production," - stated in the publication on the website of the board.
During the working trip Patrushev paid attention to the solution of priority tasks of technical and technological preparation of production.
Sergey Lyashenko, Executive Director of PJSC Krasnoe Sormovo Plant, showed the Chairman of the Maritime Board the main production facilities and vessels currently under construction.
Patrushev, in turn, emphasized that the plant's products are "highly demanded for the development of sea and river navigation", as well as for new transport and logistics corridors, cargo and passenger transportation.
It is specified that Red Sormovo will carry out technological and technical re-equipment within the framework of the investment program of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC). The program of measures has already been developed, it will be implemented within three years, until 2028.
Earlier in the day, Patrushev said that Russia is creating its own analog of the mobile satellite communications system for the maritime fleet in response to the actions of the West, which is trying not to allow Russia to use maritime transport communications and disconnects domestic ships from the Inmarsat satellite system. According to him, the Western countries' restrictions pose risks to the safety of shipping and human life.
