In the Kaliningrad region they said goodbye to the child killed by his stepfather

In the city of Chernyakhovsk, Kaliningrad region, said goodbye to a seven-year-old boy, who was killed by his stepfather. This was reported on February 6 by the city administration.

As specified by the city authorities, a lot of people came to the farewell, they carried flowers and toys.

"The boy was sung and buried. <...> Today the city has declared mourning, state flags are lowered, the flag on the city administration too, entertainment events have been canceled. This is, of course, a terrible tragedy for all of us," - quotes the message of the administration "RIA Novosti".

Earlier in the day, the head of the administration of Chernyakhovsk Sergey Bulychev went live in the social network "VKontakte", where he began the communication of residents with the fact that he honored the memory of the murdered child. According to him, the blame for the tragedy lies partly on the city's leadership.

"I believe that the administration somewhere oversight, a kindergarten, a school, neighbors, residents. This is our common misfortune. Separately, we will once again analyze the situation with everyone to prevent such things from happening in the future," he said.

The disappearance of the boy became known on February 3. A criminal case was initiated. Police officers, canine service and volunteers were involved in the search for the child. Later his body was found. The same day detained the stepfather of the boy on suspicion of murder.

In memory of the boy, February 4, on Victory Square in Kaliningrad there was a spontaneous memorial. At the column on the square placed photos of the child, there are brought lamps, children's toys and flowers.

On the same day, the stepfather of the boy said that he beat the child for refusing to do physical exercises. Video clip with the confession of the man provided the press service of the head of the Investigative Committee (IC) for the region.

February 5, Leningradsky district court of Kaliningrad sent the stepfather under arrest for two months. It was reported that the defendant and his defense counsel did not object to the satisfaction of the motion.
