Alaudinov told about the repulsion of the Ukrainian army counterattack in the Kursk region

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have attempted to break through the Russian army's defense near the villages of Ulanok and Cherkasskaya Konopelka in Kursk Region. Major-General Apti Alaudinov, deputy head of the Main Military and Political Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces (AFU) and commander of the Akhmat special forces, said this on February 6.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry said that an attempted counter-offensive by the Ukrainian army had been successfully prevented by the Russian Armed Forces.

"Today the enemy made another attempt of counter-offensive in the direction of our neighbors on the left - this is Ulanok, Cherkasskaya Konopelka. Our Russian units are on this site," he said.

Alaudinov pointed out that the units in question are the 11th Brigade of the Russian Airborne Troops (VDV), the 810th Independent Guards Marine Brigade and the "Veterans" volunteer brigade.

According to him, Akhmat Special Forces fighters help neighboring brigades, in particular, with unmanned units that destroy enemy vehicles. In addition, the 177th separate regiment of marines is involved in repelling the attack of the AFU.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry showed the combat work of drone operators of the 177th Separate Guards Marine Regiment, which destroyed combat vehicles of Ukrainian militants in the Kursk direction.

Also on this day, the agency reported that the AFU lost up to 205 militants on the Kursk direction.

The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of the Kursk region on August 6, 2024. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of federal character. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
