New emissions of small fragments of fuel oil were detected on several sections of beaches in Anapa. This was reported by the operational headquarters of the Krasnodar region on February 6.
It is specified that specialists are working on several sections of the beach in the village of Vityazevo and near the mouth of the Mozhepsin River.
"Bags with oil products are loaded into the bucket of the excavator, he carries them to the back of a dump truck to remove them from the beach," - indicated in the Telegram-channel.
According to the operational headquarters, on the main territory of the beach is carried out delicate cleaning of sand from small fractions of fuel oil using a sieve.
Earlier, on February 5, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia reported that point emissions of fuel oil identified on 18 areas of the coast of the Kuban, Crimea and Sevastopol. Work is currently underway to clean the coastline from small fractions of petroleum products, including constant collection and sifting of contaminated soil directly on the coast.
The tankers Volgoneft-212 and Volgoneft-239 crashed in the Kerch Strait on December 15 due to bad weather. 27 people were evacuated from both vessels, one person died. As a result of the incident there was a spill of oil products. Two criminal cases were initiated over the incident.
Two days later, by the morning of December 17, oil products reached the shores of Anapa and Temryuksky district, and then Crimea. On December 26, a federal emergency regime was declared. On January 9, Russian President Vladimir Putin called the fuel oil spill in the Black Sea one of the most serious environmental challenges for the country in recent years.
