Granddaughter of ex-Mayor of Samara Tarkhov told acquaintances about his departure from Russia with his wife

Ekaterina, granddaughter of former Samara mayor Viktor Tarkhov and his wife Natalia, claimed that the spouses had left the country. This was reported to Izvestia on February 6 by a source familiar with the family.

Ekaterina was arrested on February 5 on suspicion of murder of the former mayor and his wife.

According to the interlocutor, Natalia at some point stopped answering the phone, sometimes the phone was picked up by Ekaterina. A family acquaintance told Ekaterina about his suspicions, then she met with him personally and informed him that Victor and Natalia were allegedly being pursued by someone and they had left the country.

The source added that Catherine constantly asked her grandparents for money and insisted that they share the only apartment with her. The spouses, continued the interlocutor, lived only on their pension.
