Two criminal cases were opened after the discovery of an infant on the road in the Moscow region

Two criminal cases have been initiated over the discovery of a crawling one-year-old child by a car driver on the side of the road in Ramenskoye urban district of Moscow Region. This was reported on February 6 in the State Department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia in the Moscow region.

It is specified that the child was spotted on a stretch of road on the Staro-Ryazansky highway near the village of Stanovoye. His life and health are out of danger. Criminal cases under article 125 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Abandonment in danger") and article 156 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Failure to fulfill the duties of upbringing a minor") have been instituted.

"The investigation establishes all the circumstances that led to this incident, instructions have been given to check the household conditions of the family in which the child lives", - stated in the Telegram-channel of the Department.

Earlier in the day, the driver of the car told Izvestia that he noticed and rescued an 11-month-old girl on the Staro-Ryazansky highway in the Moscow region, who crawled out onto the road. He noted that the child was wearing only a bodysuit. The man wrapped the girl in a plaid, took her into his car and called the police and an ambulance. While he was waiting for help, the girl's grandmother came to the car and demanded that the child be returned, but the man disagreed.

Earlier, on December 18, 2024, it was reported about the discovery of a child in the St. Petersburg shopping mall "Port Nakhodka". Next to the baby lay a note with a request to take care of the infant. The same day his father was found. The man told Izvestia that the baby was left in the shopping center by his wife, who is experiencing "postpartum depression" and is in a difficult moral state. He said that what had happened was the woman's mistake. The baby was returned to the parents.
