Swedish law enforcement officers found several rifles at a school in the city of Örebro, where a shooting occurred earlier this week, SVT TV channel reported on February 6.

"We have found several weapons that are subject to registration and belong to the same person," the TV channel quotes Niklas Hallgren, deputy chief of the Bergslagen region police department, as saying.

Hallgren specified that we are talking about several rifles. It remains unclear whether shots were fired from each of them, he added.

According to SVT, the alleged perpetrator had licenses for all the weapons.

Police have so far failed to establish whether the attack in Örebro was ideologically motivated.

"<...> We have not found any indication that [the attacker had] an ideological motive," Hallgren said.

Earlier, on February 4, Swedish media wrote that a shooting occurred near a school in Örebro. The incident killed at least 11 people, including the alleged perpetrator.

Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson called the events in Örebro the worst mass shooting in the country's history.
