Moscow streetcars were used more than 190 million times during the year

Modernization of the streetcar system is one of the key areas of the capital's transport development. Only for 2024 passengers used streetcars more than 190 million times, said the Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin in his official Telegram-channel.

According to him, the city is constantly working to separate streetcar tracks from highways. More than 250 km of tracks are separated physically, more than 35 km - by markings. The share of total separation of streetcar tracks has increased to 82%.

This makes streetcar traffic more predictable - the number of accidents and track failures caused by other participants has decreased. In addition, the time of delays has more than halved over the last three years. For example, experts have noted positive dynamics on Boris Galushkin, Krasnokazarmennaya and Ordzhonikidze streets.

There are eight routes in the capital, which are completely separated from highways: No. 1, 6, 10, 15, 16, 17, 21 and 28. Four more routes are 90% separated - No. 2, 13, 25 and 31.
